Students who successfully graduate from our department will:

1. have knowledge about Chinese tones, semantics, stylistics, syntax and grammar rules,

2. learn the origin, evolution, spelling rules and word meanings of Chinese script,

3. acquire speaking, reading and listening skills in Chinese and use these skills at national and international platforms,

4. have information about the development process of Chinese literature, culture and history.

5. comprehend and analyze the passages or texts in the target language on various genres and topics through listening, reading and translation,

6.  work independently especially in the field of Chinese - Turkish, Turkish - Chinese translation or take responsibility as a team member,

7. analyze and interpret applied and theoretical knowledge in the fields of literature, culture, history, etc. ,

8. participate in various social, cultural and artistic activities, especially in the field of Chinese Culture,

9. follow the information in the field by using Chinese and communicate with experts and non-experts in the relevant field,

10. use information technologies together with the computer software required by the field.

11. gain universal consciousness by having an objective perspective towards his/her own nation via using the knowledge in the field of Chinese language, literature and culture. In addition, he/she respects all kinds of cultures, gains awareness of social justice, and protects his/her historical and cultural heritage,

12. enable the students to gain a sense of responsibility for preparing homework,

13. have lifelong learning skills and competence in professional and individual fields,

14. evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired in the field with a critical approach
