Mission

Based on the conviction that the past, especially the recent past, which has a primary role in shaping the present, can be understood by examining it from a scientific and interdisciplinary perspective, to raise individuals who have acquired a historical perspective and can look at events and problems as critically and objectively as possible; To contribute to the formation of a healthy social memory, for the benefit of humanity and the country, by examining world history and the different stages of Turkish history in this context, as well as the processes of interaction of the Turks with the societies with which they come into contact in different geographies, within the framework of a holistic approach with the same method and perspective; To make students understand the importance of knowledge in the field of history, with the effect and contribution of being aware of the historical experience in understanding today and making policies and decisions towards the future; To present said discoveries and information in the service of society and to conduct research and educational activities to that end.
