Mission

The main aim of our department is to train art historians who can use the technological equipment in accordance with the requirements of the age, who are loyal to scientific ethical rules, who recognize the main wealth of the world art and works of art in the Turkish cultural geography. Our department also aims to train expert art historians taking part in the classification and preservation of this heritage and to promote the development of art history literature through academic studies.

Our vision is to be an exemplary department that increases the international recognition of Turkish universities and contributes to Turkey's national power elements through academic studies that promote the rich heritage of Anatolia and Turkish cultural geography in the field of art and through its services to the community.
