Graduates of the Department will:
1. gain knowledge in the field of Japanese language and literature, Japanese culture, Japanese history and analyses, comments, and shares the knowledge with the relevant people, institutions and organizations,
2. gain the ability to write, read and speak Japanese,
3. use and apply the knowledge gained in the field in the areas of education and research,
4. work independently, especially in the field of translation from Japanese to Turkish and Turkish to Japanese, or take responsibility as a team member,
5. determine, plan and manage the learning processes for the development of the employees under his/her responsibility in the relevant field,
6. plan personal and institutional development by using the knowledge and skills in the field,
7. evaluate the knowledge and skills acquired in the field with a critical approach,
8. develop a positive attitude towards lifelong learning,
9. support solution proposals for the problems related to his/her field with data and share these data with people and institutions that are experts and non-experts in the relevant field, through various communication tools,
10. participate in various social, cultural and artistic activities, especially in the field of Japanese culture and develop individual skills in literary matters,
11. follow the information in the field by using Japanese and communicate with experts and non-experts in the relevant field,
12. use the informatics and information technologies required by the field at an advanced level,
13. gain universal consciousness by having an objective perspective towards his/her own nation via using the knowledge in the field of Japanese language, literature and culture. In addition, he/she respects all kinds of cultures, gains awareness of social justice, and protects historical and cultural heritage,
